Daily Outbound Performance: July 27
We dialed 6,734 numbers across our 14-rep team yesterday. This is the volume that powers fintech and insurtech sales pipelines: broad reach, filtering for fit, converting the right conversations into meetings.
The Numbers
Our 8.3% connect rate yielded 558 live connections. Not all of those are equal. Of the conversations that crossed the 60-second threshold (the rough floor for qualified dialogue), we logged 169 ICP conversations. This matters because brief objections, wrong personas, or gatekeepers don't move the needle.
Those 169 quality conversations produced 3 booked meetings, landing us at 1.8% ICP-to-booking conversion. In the fintech and insurtech space, where decision-making is longer and stakeholders are skeptical, this rate reflects realistic sales motion. We also captured 147 prospects marked for follow-up or active interest, which extends our pipeline beyond the immediate close window.
What This Means
Our talk time totaled 534 minutes across the day. That's an average of 38 minutes per rep, or roughly 2-3 conversations per person when you account for dialing, waiting, and wrap time. The volume required to land three meetings underscores why dialing discipline and list quality matter in outbound.
The disposition breakdown tells us where our friction lives:
146 conversations marked for follow-up (the largest bucket)
54 bad phone numbers
54 that needed no follow-up (decision made, not a fit, or already engaged)
50 intro rejections (gatekeepers, declined conversations)
40 no-need determinations (wrong budget, use case, or stage)
The follow-up load is healthy. It means we're not converting qualification into meetings in a single call, which is typical for complex B2B products. The 54 bad numbers and 50 intro rejections flag list quality and approach angles worth optimizing.
Sustainable outbound in fintech and insurtech doesn't hinge on any single day's numbers. It's built on consistent dialing, ruthless ICP targeting, and knowing which conversations deserve follow-up labor versus which are terminal. Yesterday we booked three meetings from 6,734 dials because we stayed disciplined about who qualifies as a conversation worth extending.
The real win is the 147 follow-ups waiting for tomorrow.
