Fintech Outbound Sales Stats: 2026-09-05

The Numbers

We dialed 5,271 prospects across our fintech and insurtech campaigns on September 5. Our team of 8 active reps connected with 386 people (7.3% connect rate) and spent 322 minutes in total conversation.

Of those connections, 89 conversations met our ICP standard (60+ seconds of qualified discussion). We booked 7 meetings from the day's effort.

Conversion Breakdown

The most important metric is what happens after connection. ICP conversations to meetings landed at 7.9% (7 bookings from 89 qualified calls), which validates the quality of our targeting.

Breaking down the full funnel:

  • Dials to connections: 7.3%

  • Connections to ICP conversations: 23.1%

  • ICP conversations to meetings: 7.9%

  • Total dial-to-meeting rate: 0.13%

That dial-to-meeting conversion reflects cold calling reality. Most dials don't connect. Most connections aren't qualified. But the reps who landed meetings did so consistently.

What Worked & What Didn't

Our disposition data tells a clear story. Follow Up Required topped the list at 75 outcomes, followed by Intro Rejected (67) and No Follow Up Needed (44). We also saw 18 calls filtered as not qualified and 15 bad phone numbers.

The 77 prospects marked for follow-up represent pipeline value. These are conversations that didn't convert today but warrant a second touch. Intro Rejected calls (67) give us feedback on messaging and timing. The bad phone numbers (15) suggest data quality issues we should flag to our sourcing team.

What This Means

A 7.3% connect rate on fresh cold dials is solid for fintech and insurtech outreach. These verticals have gatekeepers and lower pick-up rates than other segments. Our reps earned those connections through targeting and timing.

The 89 ICP conversations show that when we do connect with the right person, roughly 1 in 4 conversations meets our quality bar. That's not a leak. That's filtering working as designed. The dials that don't hit ICP are learning, not waste.

7 meetings from 5,271 dials on a single day builds velocity. Across a month, that volume compounds. We're moving prospects into calendars and we're doing it on terms where we know they fit.

We're tracking the right metrics and acting on them. The next step is converting those 7 bookings into pipeline, and using the 77 follow-ups to build a second wave.

Our dial-to-meeting math works.
