Fintech Outbound Sales Stats: 2026-08-03

The Numbers

On August 3rd, our 14-person dialing team executed 7,809 dials and landed 565 connections for a 7.2% connect rate. We logged 556 minutes of talk time and booked 12 meetings. At 14 reps, that's roughly 558 dials per person and just under 40 minutes on the phone per rep daily. These aren't record-breaking numbers, but they tell a clear story about where the funnel works and where it doesn't.

Breaking Down the Conversation

Of our 565 connections, 175 conversations lasted 60 seconds or longer, meaning we actually got into a real dialogue with prospects. That's 30.9% of connections that we qualified deeply enough to have a genuine exchange. The remaining 390 either terminated quickly or didn't meet our ICP threshold. This gap is the early warning signal for rep performance and messaging fit.

Disposition breakdown on those 565 connections:

  • Follow Up Required: 162

  • Bad Phone Number: 72

  • No Follow Up Needed: 62

  • Intro Rejected: 53

  • Not Qualified - No Need: 24

The bad phone numbers (72) suggest our list had data quality issues. The intro rejections (53) point to messaging or targeting drift. But 162 requiring follow-up is healthy, and that's a pipeline signal.

Conversion: ICP to Booking

Here's where the rubber meets the road. Of our 175 ICP conversations, we converted 12 into booked meetings, a 6.9% ICP-to-booking rate. In fintech and insurtech, where deal complexity is high and buying cycles are long, 6.9% is solid. It means our reps are qualifying hard and not overselling unfit prospects into calendar holds.

We also captured 162 interested prospects flagged for follow-up. This isn't wasted effort; it's the beginning of nurture. One-call closes are rare in our vertical. The follow-up bucket is where the real conversion happens across days two through five.

What This Means Practically

7,809 dials generated 12 meetings. That's a 0.15% dial-to-booking rate. It sounds low in isolation, but with 14 reps delivering that output, you're looking at roughly 0.85 meetings per person per day. Over a 20-day month, that's 17 meetings per rep from outbound alone, or 238 meetings for the team.

The 7.2% connection rate is typical for cold lists. The real efficiency lever is ICP qualification: we're filtering hard (30.9% of connections qualify for deep conversations), and converting those qualified talks at a healthy rate (6.9%). That discipline prevents wasted follow-up and keeps the team focused on real pipeline.

The data shows a team executing a repeatable machine: high-volume dialing, ruthless ICP filtering, and conversion discipline at the point of real conversation.
